Looked a little deeper and $AMD is confirmed to be the winner in the cost/tokens.
So while NVDA can generate more tokens per gpu. If you buy more AMD gpus you can run at a lower operating cost.
This is a big deal for hyperscalers because a lower cost per token is more profit.

Interested to see if $AMD MI400 can catch up.
There's a chance that this openAI deal was purely to lock up $TSMC manufacturing capacity considering $AMD has a reasonable chunk of it.
If the bottle neck is how many chips TSMC can manufacture then it doesnt matter how many tokens/gpu you get.
You just want to lock in as many GPUs as you can knowing TSMC will likely be in a backlog indefinity.
