there was just an attack on Lighter — and it held strong
someone heavily TWAPed $HYPE with a large position trying to liquidate many high-leverage traders
this tactic worked on Hyperliquid with $XPL but it didn’t work on Lighter. here liquidations are tied to the oracle price sourced from external exchanges. you can pump the mark price as much as you want — it won’t trigger any liquidations or cascade effects
as a result the LLP made a solid profit while the attacker ended up effectively distributing funds to LLP holders and short sellers
It happening on hype specifically has me suspicious 😂.
Btw, changing the front end chart seems like a mistake to me
